Fear of Bad News

A new UK report has shown that a third of people who consciously put off seeing their doctor do so for fear of finding out bad news. There are many reasons people put off seeing the doctor. From time constraints to cost, from the the stereotypical Aussie ("she'll be right") attitude to plain embarrassment. Fear of finding out bad news can be so powerful, it can eclipse such common sense, with men being the worst culprits.
AbbVie, a global research-based biopharmaceutical company, published this new evidence in partnership with Think Tank 2020health.
