The Australian Bureau of Statistics released the latest issue of its series
Diabetes in Australia: a Snapshot, 2007-08 on 16 September 2011. Over 800,000 Australian have diabetes. This release includes information covering the following categories: Prevalence of diabetes; Variation in prevalence; Lifestyle risk factors for Type 2 diabetes; Managing the risks; Health of people with diabetes; Comorbidity; Use of health services; and, Deaths. Previous releases have been in 2001 and 2004-05.
