Closing the Gap’s
Indigenous Chronic Disease Package Annual Progress Report 2010-11 is now
available from the Australian Department of Health and Ageing. It outlines progress being made to improve
the prevention, detection and management of
chronic disease in indigenous populations.
Also available at this site is the first annual report, as well as the
booklet with the original package, in which the Australian Government committed
to significant new funding for preventative health and primary health
initiatives focusing on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals,
families and communities.
