MMR vaccination and autism

A recent retropective cohort study published in JAMA looked at 95,000 American children with older siblings, some of whom had autism. The idea was to see whether vaccines could make autism more likely in children whose siblings had autism.

Autism Occurrence by MMR Vaccine Status Among US Children With Older Siblings With and Without Autism by Dr Anjali Jain and others, found "no association between MMR vaccination and increased ASD risk... These findings indicate no harmful association between MMR vaccine receipt and ASD even among children already at higher risk for ASD."
