The inaugural edition of Global Health – published by WHO to coincide with the 65th World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva , Switzerland ,
from 21-26 May – explores how organisations responsible for improving health
and well-being worldwide can address the many challenges they face. The
publication includes articles from leading global health institutions,
including many of those represented at the WHA.
Topics include the national and international
efforts in the ongoing fight against the major infectious diseases of HIV/AIDS,
tuberculosis, malaria and polio, as well as strategies to tackle
non-communicable diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and chronic
respiratory disease.
