the Australian current affairs magazine,The
Monthly. Hitchcock, who is a hospital doctor, discusses the problems with
emergency department waiting times and the way they are being addressed in Australia . She calls for an upheaval of the system and a
focus on general medicine, with the ideal of every person walking in being seen by a senior
consultant straight away.
