Teamwork and patient safety

In patient safety literature it is common to read that team performance is crucial to providing safe patient care. This review article focuses on the methods of teamwork used and aspects of teamwork that are proven to aid quality and safety of care. It also explores ideas for future research in this area.  Although this article was published in 2009, it was one of the top downloads for 2013.
